Millionaire Time Management

Almost everyone who doesn’t have enough money has no idea why they don’t have it. They might tell you a whole list of reasons why they don’t have more money such as: they didn’t get the job they wanted, they lost the promotion, they lost the only good job they ever had, they couldn’t afford a good education, they had children too early, they got divorced, etc.

These are all symptoms of being poor. That’s right I said SYMPTOMS not causes.

None of those reasons or any of the hundreds of other excuses are reasons you don’t have enough money. The reason is because you waste your time doing what poor people do because they do not value their time.  It stems from the basic belief that you are not worth millions of dollars, and your time is also not worth much.  So you waste all your precious time doing insignificant things trying to save tiny amounts of money.  In the meanwhile you are trapped in the rat race forever and will never get out; not until you learn the secret I am about to share. It is the only way out.

IF YOU ARE NOT A MILLIONAIRE THE REASON IS BECAUSE YOU DON’T MANAGE YOUR TIME LIKE A MILLIONAIRE

Here’s what I mean. All who are not wealthy (what I call poor, because there are only two types of people in the world – those with a poor mentality and those with a wealth mentality,) the poor, spend a great deal of time every day wasting away their time searching for ways to save their money.  Now you might think you don’t shop that much. But if you are not a millionaire, then it is absolutely because you don’t manage and spend your time doing what a millionaire would do to become a millionaire. Anyone can learn what to do to become a millionaire and then begin doing it.

Time Management Tips – Making Good Use of Online Calendars

To improve the quality of your life, it all comes down to time management. How so? You see, everything you do in your life, be it work, career or family, has something to do your time management skills. Having time management skills means you should know what matters most, and go do it. The problem is, we usually don’t notice how we make use of our time. So all that time has gone by, and at the end of the day, we realized that most of it is wasted. The solution is simple. All we need is a time management tool to help us manage our time better.

Before the age of the Internet, you may have to pay money for calendar software. But that is a thing of the past now. You can freely download the latest calendars on the Internet, and use it in whatever way you wish. Don’t underestimate this powerful time management tool. Here are some tips on how you can use your brand new calendar.

Tip 1: Update your calendar on a daily basis.

Use your calendar as a tracking device. Whatever you have planned for the day, put it in your calendar. Better still, print out the calendar and fill it in on paper. That way, you are clear about what you are going to do for the day. If there are changes, simply update the calendar.

You don’t have to make changes to your work life or family life immediately. For starters, it is good enough for you to notice where all that time has gone. If there are to be changes, be sure to manage them properly. Don’t change everything at one go. Change one or two things at a time. For example, if you realize that you have been spending way too much time in the office, you may wish to cut back on your working hours during Friday nights and weekends to spend more time with your family.

Essential Time Management Techniques

We’ve all been there – staring at a ‘to do’ list as long as your arm, the clock ticking whilst precious minutes ebb away as you waste time wondering where to even begin. Armed with some simple techniques you can change the pattern and stop procrastinating to reclaim control over your time and make sure you use it efficiently.

Write a ‘to do’ list

Making a list of everything you need to do, and when the deadlines are, will help you to feel less overwhelmed and ensure that you don’t forget important tasks or miss deadlines. You should re-write your list as often as needed to make sure that it is always up to date.

Prioritize all the tasks on your ‘to do’ list

Once you have your ‘to do’ list, you need to sort out which tasks are urgent, which are important and which are less important. Categories every point on your list as priority 1 through to 4, based on how urgent and important they are. This will help you to clarify which tasks you need to tackle first. Make sure you reprioritize your list regularly as you tick off actions and additional tasks are added.

Stop procrastinating

Ask yourself what you are avoiding. Start with the tasks you are dreading to get them out of the way, and break larger tasks down into manageable chunks.

Avoid constant interruptions

Much time is lost through the constant interruptions which life throws up. To regain control of your time, let people know when the best time to contact you is – in a polite and constructive manner. Equally if you are going to be concentrating on an important task, let those around you know in advance that you will be busy at that time.

A Guide to Time Management

Time management is essentially the understanding that time is limited and its use needs to be planned and prioritized in order to use it fully and optimally. Time is important to everyone, be it a manger of a multinational corporation, a college student or a homemaker with three school going children. And so everyone can benefit from time management.

Here is your guide to time management:

Maintaining a time log for about 3-5 days with details such as time, scheduled activities and interruptions will give you a realistic estimate of the time available to you and the manner in which you are spending.

The time log is also useful in providing you a valuable lesson in how much you can do in a certain period of time. There are two crucial mistakes that people make when they think they are trying to organize their time well. The first is when you try and fit in too many things to do into a time slot. Prioritize the things that need to be done as ‘crucial’, ‘important’, ‘essential’ and ‘can be done later’. Now work your way from the top of the list.

The second mistake is when you try to do more than one thing at a time. It has been proven that flitting from one task to another without completing them reduces performance and also increases stress and frustration. Do one thing at a time, and when the task is complete, move on.

Create a schedule for yourself and make it flexible to a certain extent.

Involve other people, working at time management as a team is a good way to create a support group to help you when lapses occur. And when they happen, don’t waste time procrastinating.

Four Essential Time Management Tools

Most of us have to struggle with time management. We usually let ourselves get overwhelmed with commitments and deadlines to the point where we are overwhelmed with stress. That’s not healthy for us nor is it good for the quality of our work. Using the four time management tools discussed below is one way to overcome these types of problems.

A Calendar

Calendars are one of the most essential time management tools because they remind us of what we need to accomplish and when those tasks need to be done. When you get overwhelmed, you may end up forgetting an important task or commitment. With a calendar, this is less likely to happen and you’ll have an easier way of making sure none of your deadlines overlap.

Whether you have a digital calendar on your computer or one of your desk, the important thing is to get in the habit of using it. Once you develop the habit you’ll discover how helpful these handy tools can be when it comes to effectively managing your time.

Email Filters

If you’re like most people, you probably receive tons of email each day. Going through all of those messages can take away a lot of time you need for other tasks. And if you get forwards from your co-workers or friends you might also find yourself becoming distracted easily. With email filters, you can have messages filtered into separate folders automatically so you can keep your inbox more organized and so you can give your attention to the most pressing messages first.

While we’re on the subject of email, it’s a good idea to set specific times for checking and replying to messages. Otherwise, you may not get anything done.
